ABSTRACT
President Clinton's vision of K–14 education for all Americans has moved the community college to center stage in higher education. Indeed, under the President's plan, “the role of this unique institution will change … and may make the difference as to whether we get from here—to there” (Adelman, 1997, p. A19).
