ABSTRACT
I am indeed a lucky man. In today’s mail I received a document that “serves as official notification” that “the holder of this document” (that’s me, as you can see by the fact that my name is officially typed on the line) is “confirmed,” and, “as a result of this offer,” my “ticketing and confirmation number” have been “identified and issued” (figure 11.1). On the inside flap of my official (looking) document there’s a ticket! (figure 11.2). Or maybe it’s a check! I can’t exactly tell, but it does say, “To the order of Carl Hausman, and that’s me! 1 And my ticket number and confirmation number are on the right. On the attached leaflet, inside the official-looking scroll-work edging, Robin Leach tells me to PACK MY BAGS! But before we open my underwear drawer, let’s take a look at figure 11.3.
