ABSTRACT
This chapter addresses three major questions: Is it possible to prescribe meaningful standards for judging the quality of qualitative research; if so, what do theoreticians suggest as general standards? How can qualitative researchers establish internal validity? How can qualitative researchers argue their case for external validity?
