ABSTRACT

Becoming a writer begins with seeing oneself as a writer. But self-image is not enough; the technicalities must be learned. In essence, learners do this by apprenticing themselves to established writers, joining the club, keeping the company of more experienced authors, and vicariously doing themselves the things done by the writers they read.
