ABSTRACT
While worldwide international filings under the WIPO patent cooperation treaty (PCT) grew by 4.8% in 2010, the growth rate in China was an astonishing 56.2%. China now ranks fourth in the world, behind the United States, Japan and Germany. We cannot help but ask: How do Chinese companies catch up? What is their disruptive innovation strategy?
