ABSTRACT
In our consulting work we have been asked, ‘Why can’t people just come
to work and do their jobs? Why does people management have to be so
diffi cult and complicated?’ Well the answer is simple. Because we employ
people, not robots, and people are individual, thinking, emoting beings.
