ABSTRACT

This venture began ten years ago. We aimed to help students to learn how to learn at university and, above all, practise and develop their autonomy as learners. Where has our journey brought us? How do we reinterpret our purpose and how to achieve it? Reconsidering aims and means together, here are some concluding reflections, with fresh thinking about why might an Inquiry Into Learning approach be relevant to today’s contexts? Since our understanding is embedded in our practice, these theoretical and philosophical answers are linked with the previous accounts of what we do.
