ABSTRACT

In previous chapters we have outlined how students undertake a number of learning inquiries. They write a ‘patch’, which is not formally assessed, about each inquiry after much personal reflection, investigation and collaborative discussion with other students. IIL tutors explicitly value the collaboration component, encouraging an inquiry to use contributions from a range of sources, including that of fellow students. It is particularly during seminar conferences that students have opportunities to share their thoughts and ideas. As technology is becoming a larger part of our and our students’ lives, we reflected on whether the use of technology could provide another valuable platform for students to share their learning inquiries.
