ABSTRACT

Squash entails moderate to high intensity intermittent exercise where players are active 50 to 70% of the playing time (Montpetit, 1990) which taxes the players' cardiac, respiratory, metabolic and musculoligamental capacities (Mercier et al., 1987). Games can last up to three hours (Steininger and Wodick, 1987) and therefore a high level of energy reserves for anaerobic glycolysis and aerobic process in required (Blanksby et al, 1973).
