ABSTRACT
The comparison of the eight events, Men's and Ladies' singles and doubles on Wimbledon grass and French clay on the basis of percentage of tie breaks was tested for significanct diffeences using chi-square tests. The chi-square test was highly significant, so in order to locate the one or more differences the test involving the normal distribution for comparing two proportions or percentages was used to examine the twenty-eight possible comparisons.
