ABSTRACT
The adoption of Christianity in Georgia is an important landmark from which a new world outlook and a new way of thought originates. Stone crosses and stelae that came into being owing to concrete historic conditions, were an everyday part of the life of the then population and reflected the basic tendencies of the arts in the epoch in question.
