ABSTRACT
In this unit you will read and hear about agriculture in Spain, focusing on the different products and types of farming in different regions of Spain. To understand the issues discussed you need to know something about the geography of Spain, its climate and land ownership in rural areas. (The start of the unit focuses on this background information.) Finally the unit introduces more recent and alternative ways of exploiting the economic potential of the Spanish countryside.
