ABSTRACT
ʿĀ’isha wore yellow clothes when she was a pilgrim to the hallowed ground of Mecca, and she said: “A woman who goes on pilgrimage to the hallowed ground of Mecca should not veil herself with a lithām 1 nor with a burquʿ. 2 And she is not to wear any garment that is scented.”
