ABSTRACT
No other topic resonates as strongly with the title of this book as education, since it provides the building blocks for the information society. Specifi cally, as the recent World Bank/OECD study of Korea has shown, education helps form the four key pillars of the knowledge economy:
• An economic and institutional regime with incentives for the use of existing knowledge and the creation of new knowledge.
