ABSTRACT
The Court were moved on Behalf of the History of Thomas Carte, an. Englishman, which received Sentence of grubbing on Thursday last. It was said, that the Historian had, in the General Evening Post of Tuesday the 23d.1 alledged in his Defence:
1. That this was inserted in a Note, only to refute the erroneous Notion concerning that Sanative Virtue of Touching.
