ABSTRACT
In this chapter, youth work as process of engagement is discussed in two contexts: first through what the first author, Ross VeLure Roholt, calls “civic youth work” and second through a description by Judie Cutler of youth work on a reservation. Two distinct domains where youth work is practiced challenge the reader and the field to ask how and if both require the same set of competencies, credentials, and curricula.
