When you think about your future as a social studies teacher, it is exciting to realize that you will be helping students understand the wide range of social studies topics. You will help your future students in middle school and high school examine themes and ideas and develop skills that will help them make sense of the world around them. We are convinced that the social studies provide many opportunities to explore the world here and now and to understand the world historically-or then and there. The content is ready, and you will be able to engage with your future students as they learn.
