ABSTRACT
I would like now to look at the content of two other fictional treatments of the Taiping Rebellion: Gaihō taihei ki (Record of Peace against the Foreigners) and Shinsetsu Min Shin kassen ki (New Account of the War Between the Ming and the Qing).
