ABSTRACT
Christianity survived the emergence and development of capitalism. The historical forms of Christian transcendence-Faith, Belief and Morality-persisted, and, as they had in previous societies, attracted their followers. More importantly, however, Passion emerged as the unique religious spirit within capitalism.
