ABSTRACT

In society, we are often called upon to tell our stories of origin in everyday life. We are prompted to narrate the stories of our ethnic origins, where we grew up, details of our family, where our cultural loyalties lie, and who our ancestors were. Telling our ongoing story helps us make meaning of our daily experiences and provides the fuel for personal mythos, vocation, family, and overall sense of being in the world.
