Setting up a school meeting for parents Parents and carers have such a strong influence on their children’s body image that it is important to involve them in this topic as early as possible. Some parents and carers may feel anxious about teachers discussing body image with their children and will need to be reassured about the types of activities that will be done in school and how they can support the work at home.
