ABSTRACT
Although I have spent the majority of these pages discussing the positive impact that a therapy dog has on the clients of an agency, I would be remiss not to spend an entire chapter discussing the incredible impact that the presence of a therapy dog has on the handler and the professionals in both the agency and the community. This chapter explores this subject and how one can purposefully use the benefits of animal-assisted activities (AAA) to transform an agency setting.
