Razveyev at the Church of the Birth of Our Lady in Ufa. This church had been witnessing many other miracles of healing connected with the miraculous flowing of holy oil from a few of their icons. l
These unusual events all started in the summer of 1992 when a young man named Lev was praying in front of an icon of the Virgin and Child. Suddenly he heard what he believed was the voice of Mary speaking to him from the direction of the icon, saying: "Do not cease your songs of praise to me. My grace will be with you. Build the church quicker than you expect!" After this, the local Orthodox Christians found that they began to receive much more of the money and materials they needed for restoring the church, which previously, under the Communists, had been used as a cinema.
