ABSTRACT

The principal purpose of this book is to provide a means of consolidating your knowledge of tort law and enabling you to marshal that knowledge more effectively when it comes to answering exam questions – or even, in some limited circumstances, written assignments. It is not intended to teach you the subject from scratch and therefore cannot do so. Answering legal questions, particularly problem questions, is a skill you will acquire and hone throughout the course of your undergraduate studies. It is not an innate skill we all possess and is something that is a unique feature of the study of law, which requires both logical and methodical application of rules to facts, so the more assistance you can give yourself, the quicker you will develop a useful and rewarding style.
