ABSTRACT
QUESTION 15 Ken is employed by Lomad plc as an electrician. One day, he is asked to repair a ceiling fan located in Lomad’s workplace, and is told to dismantle the fan and take it to the electrical workshop for repair. In order to save time, Ken attempts to repair the fan whilst standing on a stepladder. As he is doing so, he drops his pliers, which land on Martin’s head. Because Martin is of a rather nervous disposition, he is off work for two months following this accident, rather than the two days that would be normal for such an injury. Following this incident, Ken decides to comply with his instructions and dismantles the fan but, while he is doing this, his screwdriver snaps and a piece of metal enters his eye.
