ABSTRACT
The importance of Zarvamism would seem to fall under two heads; historical and philosophical. In the history of religion, and especially of Zoroastnanism, it is interesting to trace the sect of the Zarvanites and to notice their influence on the thought of the time and also to note the possible influence from other systems of religion. The philosophy of Zarvanism is even more interesting than the history, as it seems to be a search for a crue monotheism, for the One Cause. Man is prone to reduce religion to the simplest possible solution, and this system evolves according to historians a very curious solution to the problem.
