ABSTRACT

Introduction The Palestinian-Israeli conflict is considered to be one of the most entrenched conflicts in the world. It is a struggle between two people over a tiny piece of land that is conceived as holy by major actors who have a stake in the struggle. This relatively small conflict involves an almost infinite array of issues and interests, including but not limited to: the divergent goals of three global religions; clashes between different traditions, mentalities, and cultures; socio economic gaps; demographic problems; civil war; and the demand for social justice.
