Rightness and correct form

The first section of the chapter deals with hierarchy. Almost all organisations are hierarchic: the differences lie in the shape of those hierarchies (flat or columnar), and inter-functional and senior/junior relationships, i.e. how they work. Western companies are more likely to make decisions up and down the hierarchy whereas Chinese managers are more likely to wait to be told.
