ABSTRACT
This kind of poem is called a shape poem (or a concrete poem). The layout of the words represents the subject of the poem. A shape poem is always specially shaped to represent the subject, e.g. a shape poem about a banana will be banana-shaped.
This poem also features calligrams. The formation of the letters – or the font used – represents the subject.
