ABSTRACT
The Persian peasant, usually clad in blue cotton shirt and trousers with a thick felt sleeveless overcoat, and a felt skull-cap, is a hardy, simple fellow as he trudges along in his cotton givas, a comfortable footgear much resembling bathing-shoes.
