ABSTRACT

Persia is a Mohammedan country, but it must not be forgotten that Zoroastrianism, commonly known as Fire Worship because its followers took the sun and fire as symbols of the Deity, was the religion of the land until the fall of the Sasanian dynasty, consequent on the Arab invasion in a.d. 64I. Its followers still survive in some thousands, though they have undergone every kind of persecution since the Moslems conquered them.
