ABSTRACT

Coaching is a very personalised form of learning. New insights can occur at any point in the process and will be acknowledged then. However, building in time for refl ection when a goal has been achieved will reinforce the learning and allow new details to emerge. Like coaching, thinking refl ectively can help raise awareness of our attitudes, actions and their impact and, as we have pointed out so often in this book, that is an important element of emotional intelligence.
