When emphatic SHÌ is used in sentences with the verb kànshangqu (to look/to seem), which we saw in Lesson 2, SHÌ appears after the verb. For example:

Jiajia kànshangqu SHÌ hln niánqcng. verb

Jiajia does look very young.
