ABSTRACT
Most of Lamb’s recommendations have been accepted. The inquiry outlined the struggles that too many parents have in obtaining an education that best fits the needs of their child and emphasised the value parents place on staff with the expertise to enable their child to achieve, summarised by the overwhelming wish for ‘someone who understands my child’s needs’ (p. 28).
