ABSTRACT

We begin the second half of this volume by providing an overview of ACT's therapeutic strategies. Our aim is to introduce the reader to some of the de®ning practical features of ACT, which will be further illustrated in the subsequent sections. First, we show how ACT's therapeutic strategies map onto the six core processes outlined in Part 1. We then highlight the various formats that can be used when delivering ACT, and re-emphasize the process-driven nature of the ACT approach.
