ABSTRACT

Confusingly, token-level causation is sometimes called ‘singular causation’ not to be confused with ‘singularism’, which is a specific thesis about the nature of (token-level) causation. Usually, though, token-level causation is just referred to as ‘causation’ (as in, for example, the counterfactual theory of causation), unless in the context it is being distinguished from type-level causation.
