ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on eight case studies. Several of the films under
consideration are generally seen as seminal works in the history of the
Western. The main effort here, though, is to further reinforce the idea of
the potential offered by theoretical approaches detailed in Chapter 3. In
each case, a combination of theoretical approaches is used. Close analysis of
specific shots and scenes from the chosen films is included.
