ABSTRACT

This chapter presents information on using teacher research results to take action, make changes, and make improvements in teaching and children’s learning. The chapter addresses action plans and advocacy efforts at the individual, program, and community levels. It also shows how to use results to decide what to research next and thus begin a new teacher research cycle. This chapter presents the role of protocols in facilitating the beginning and end of teacher research studies and describes several protocols and their use. The book ends with examples of how teaching has been transformed through teacher research.
