ABSTRACT
Many educators recognize the power of literacy and the critical role of conversations with children in classrooms. We are often reminded that conversations and collaboration with colleagues are important as well. We think about our literate lives as teachers in ways that make us stronger and smarter teachers of children. We study the experts and what they say about literacy development, and we reinvent our own strategies as learners and teachers.
