ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to review theory, research, and practice concerning police interviews with the suspects of crime. The aim of the chapter is to illustrate how a knowledge of psychology and suspect behavior can contribute to the planning and execution of suspect interviews in order to maximize the quantity, quality, and reliability of the information obtained.
