ABSTRACT

This chapter, with which I conclude, is rather different in fl avour from the others. Having looked at various aspects of Popper’s critical rationalism (and derivatives) in considerable depth, I want now to take the opportunity to stand back and articulate my view on where it stands (and where I stand) in light of the previous analysis, criticism, and development. For the most part, I will avoid lengthy philosophical analysis-the relevant arguments have already been presented in the previous chapters-but will instead adopt a rather more conversational (and even confessional!) approach. In short, my intent is to say what I think, as bluntly as I can, about what I take myself to have shown.
