In fact, Disney’s presence extends even further to include music recordings, home video, the Web, video games, and much more. If you knew how many of the media products you use come from The Walt Disney Company-alone or in combination with partners-you might be surprised at how much time you spend in its world each week. The same can be said about other huge media firms such as Time Warner, Viacom, NBC Universal (majority owned by Comcast Corporation), News Corporation, Bertelsmann, and Google. Together, these companies create mass media worlds that we visit more often (and for a longer time) than we often realize.
