ABSTRACT
I am mainly concerned in this paper with Nicholas of Cusa’s view of monks and monasticism in his Sermon on Mount Olivet, with reference to St. Benedict of Nursia, his Rule (Regula monachorum) and the Dialogues (Dialogi) of St. Gregory the Great.
