ABSTRACT
THOUGHT Much of human thought or cognition is a product of the cortex. You will recall that this is the part of the brain to have most recently evolved and is larger in humans than in any other primate species. We defi ne cognition broadly as the representation and computation of information. Th is defi nition allows us to discuss both computers and people as capable of thinking.
