ABSTRACT
In his attempt to categorize peace education, Salomon (2002) argues that the sociopolitical context supersedes other classifications and that three categories of peace education are differentiated: (a) peace education in intractable regions, (b) peace education in regions with interethnic tensions, and (c) peace education in regions of experiencing tranquillity. Sweden belongs to this third category.
