ABSTRACT
D elusional disorders are of interest not only to psychiatry, but also to cogni-tive science because by studying them we can hope to learn something about our cognitive architecture. Monothematic delusions are delusions limited to a specic theme. Through their study we can try to gain insight into how beliefs are normally acquired and sustained-into the processes of belief xation.
