ABSTRACT
Similar environmental issues are arising in the mountain resort of Whistler Valley, an hour to the north of Vancouver. While mainly a ski resort, Whistler is already home to a spectacular Robert Trent Jones Jnr course, with two other courses planned. Critics worry that an already fragile environment and ecology will suffer irreversible damage given this rapid development with its attendant pollution problems.
