ABSTRACT

CapeUK is an independent agency that focuses on creativity and learning, linking practice with theory, research and professional development. Its overall purpose is to develop approaches that support children and young people to face an increasingly complex and challenging future. Partnerships between schools and creative practitioners have been key to CapeUK’s work since its beginnings in 1997; it has worked with hundreds of schools, teachers and creative organizations and individuals. Between 2005 and 2008, Cape developed and led the national Creativity Action Research Awards (CARA) programme in England on behalf of Creative Partnerships.
