Picturebooks and Changing Values at the Turn of the Century

Of the 250 most distinguished books for child and young people selected by critics and published in Spain in the twenty-fi rst century, half are picturebooks. A third of these deal with topics that tell children about their feelings and emotions. Most of them do this by adopting structures that are poorly cohesive, resembling a list or a catalog.1
