ABSTRACT

The conversation continues in this vein as they posit and question their different antibiotic regimes for various tricky conditions including sinusitis. There are some anecdotes of things seen or experienced, some references to things they have read. Some nodding; some perplexed looks. A couple of the GPs are writing occasional notes. Others appear to be making occasional mental notes (‘aha’ moments of raised heads, eyebrows and forefingers). The medical student hardly stops writing throughout. From subsequent one-to-one conversations it seems that some of the GPs checked some of the ideas later (through discussion or looking things up), dismissed some of the new ideas they heard, and tentatively incorporated others.
